Jather McCoy Stotesbury

Jather McCoy Stotesbury, 91, of Plymouth died Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
Born August 19, 1921, in Beaufort County, he was the son of the late Joseph Lawrence Stotesbury and Annie Davis Stotesbury and was preceded in death by his sisters, Asia S. Allen, Christine S. Hodges, Mary S. Ramsey and Margaret S. Atamanchuck; brothers, Oliver W. Stotesbury and William A. Stotesbury. Jather was a retired machinist with Weyerhaeuser Corporation and member of Plymouth Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, member of Perseverance Lodge No. 59 and a Shriner.
His family includes his wife, Ramona Ange Stotesbury of Plymouth, N.C.; sons, Glenn McCoy Stotesbury and wife Sherry of Plymouth, N.C. and Joseph Edward Stotesbury and wife Cheryl of Greenville, N.C.; sister, Alice S. Ross of Lansing, Ill. and brother, Joseph R. Stotesbury of Laplata, Md.; grandchildren, Emily Hardison, Ruth Stotesbury and Debbie Stotesbury.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Plymouth Church of Christ, Plymouth with Bob Moulden officiating. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday following the service in the church reception area. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
