Wedding Announcement: Cutler-Hodges

Lesley Alice Cutler and Grayson Cooper Hodges were married Saturday, September 8, 2012, at four in the afternoon at Old Ford Church of Christ in Washington, N.C. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Mr. Thomas Hamilton. A program of wedding music was presented by Mrs. Janice Chesson, organist. Vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bowen.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Alston Cutler, Jr. of Washington, N.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nick Rawls and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie A. Cutler, all of Washington, N.C.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gray Cooper Hodges of Washington, N.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Patricia Woodell Campbell and the late Mr. John Thomas Campbell, Jr., and Mrs. Jane Gardner Hodges and the late Mr. Gray Hodges, all of Washington, N.C.
The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, wore a gown of white chapel length lace and carried a bouquet of hydrangeas. Miss Atha Malissa Cutler of Washington, N.C., attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Emily Caroline Cochran of Williams, Ariz.; Miss Ayla Mary Tanercan of Atlanta, Ga.; and Mrs. Brooke Woolard Newman, Miss Samantha Curry Yates and Mrs. Natalie Woolard McRoy, all of Washington, N.C. Their flowers were bouquets of hydrangeas.
Mr. Gray Cooper Hodges served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Allen Thomas Hodges of Raleigh, N.C., and Mr. Lee Campbell Hodges of Washington, N.C., brothers of the groom; Mr. Joshua Edward Green, Mr. Zachary Delma Keech and Mr. Christopher Todd Ange, all of Washington, N.C.
Mistresses of ceremony were Mrs. Michele Prokup and Ms. JoAnna Chrismon. Register attendants were Miss Spencer Jane Brunson and Miss Jeanna Katherine Buck.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Washington Civic Center, hosted by the bride’s parents.
On Friday evening, an after-rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s family, was held at the Washington Yacht and Country Club.

A Bridal Shower at Old Ford Church of Christ, hosted by friends and family of the bride. An Engagement Party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Griffin, hosted by family and friends of the bride and groom. A Lawn and Garden Shower at the home of Miss Paige Hill, hosted by Miss Hill, Miss Lauren Cowin and Mrs. Natalie McRoy. A Bridesmaids Brunch at the home of Mrs. Cindy Cochran, hosted by Mrs. Cochran, Mrs. Dale Peele and Mrs. Sue Smithwick.
The bride earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing at East Carolina University and is employed at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C.
The groom received a Bachelors of Science in Horticulture at North Carolina State University. He is employed with Witherspoon Rose Culture in Winterville, N.C.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Washington, N.C.
