Mr. Huey L. Brown, 96, of 4277 N.C. Highway 33 North, Plymouth, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Second Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Hubert Judon officiating. Burial will follow in Second Zion Grove cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born on Oct. 10, 1916, in Washington County. He was the son of the late Milton Brown and Ada Martin Brown. He was member of Second Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, member of the Male Chorus, Combined Choir, Disabled Veterans of Washington County and a member of Golden Crown Lodge #253, Elks of the World. He was a veteran of World War II. His wife, Pauline S. Brown, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Westleyl Brown, Windsor; daughter, Wanda K. Brown, Winston-Salem; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Toodle’s Chapel and other times at the home.
Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
