Mr. Ronnie Lee Phelps Jr., 25, of 6770 Cobble Creek Road, Whitsett, NC, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in Lacombe, LA.
A funeral service will be held at 11 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Eastern North Carolina Assembly with Vice Bishop Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Phelps was born on July 4, 1987, in Chowan County. He was the son of Ronald Phelps Sr. and Cynthia Barrow Phelps. He was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ).
Survivors include his wife, Megan Davis Phelps, Whitsett; parents: Ronald and Cynthia Phelps, Roper; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Beverly and Willie “Tater” Davis, Roper; two brothers: Patrick Phelps, Richmond, VA, Tevin Phelps, Roper; two sisters: Ashley Phelps and Tiffany Phelps, both of Roper; grandparents: Doris and Ray  Barrow and Christine Lewis.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at Eastern North Carolina Assembly in Roper and other times at the home of his mother and father-in-law Willie “Tater” and Beverly Davis.
