Edith Alston Green, 88, of 2449 Cherry Run Road, Washington, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at Ridge- wood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 270 Whispering Pines Road, Washington, with the Rev. McNair as eulogist. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. A wake will be held Friday, March 15, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Bonner Street Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Marion Green, 2487 Cherry Run Road, Washington. Arrangements are by Bonner Street Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
