Martin County Arts Council calls for artists

The Martin County Arts Council is currently accepting art for its juried art show. The MCAC Art Show is a judged art show that will be held April 7-27 at the MCAC/Flatiron Building, 124 Washington St. in Williamston.
The show is open to professionals, amateurs and Martin County high school students. The categories are  oils/acrylics; watercolors; graphics; open mixed; sculpture/pottery/glass; fiber arts/woods/paper and jewelry/metal.
A maximum of four works per artist may be submitted; entry fees are $20 for the first two works and $8 each for additional work.
Prizes will be awarded by category, $100 for first place, $25 for second place and a ribbon for third place. The Best in Show will win $400 and the “Best in Martin County” will earn $200 for a total of $1475 in prizes.
