Phillip Ray Gurganus, 84, of Plymouth, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at his home. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at First Christian Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. V. Tom Banks officiating. Burial follows in Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth, which is in charge of arrangements.
