SHS students SOAR in PBIS program

Will Mumford was honored as Southside High School’s nominee to the Beaufort County Board of Education for the character trait of cleanliness.
Other students nominated for this character trait, part of the Beaufort County Schools’ character education program, included Donald Moore, Isaac Harrell, Trent Fisher, Johnnie Pender, Edwin Castillo, Hydeia Willis, Devin Mayo, Holly Street, Kimberly Ange, Barbie Doll Moore, Annie Mills, Danielle Clark, Matt Johnson and Breanna Hathaway.
Southside faculty and staff also recognized students for being on time and on task, part of the SOAR initiative under the Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies program. These students included Cody Ingalls, Loyed Moore, Zoila Tello Lopez, Gonzalo Galicia, Aaron Redmond, Haley Jensen, and Kimberly Ange.
All nominees were honored at a reception at Southside on March 28.
