Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Henry Buter of Charlotte, N.C., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Blair Buter, to Wesley Glenn-Taylor Ward, son of Mr. Linwood Taylor Ward of Conway, N.C., and Ms. Becky Wagner Ward of Washington. Blair is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Corwin Glenn Vander Veer, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gordon Buter, all of Grand Rapids, Mich. She is a graduate of Myers Park High School, UNC-Chapel Hill and Queen’s University of Charlotte. Blair is currently employed at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where she works as a RN, BSN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Wes is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Glenn (Choppy) Wagner of Washington, and Mrs. Eloise Ward and the late Mr. Linwood Ezelle Ward of Conway, N.C. Wes is the godson of Mrs. Ramona Cayton of Washington. Wes is a graduate of Ridgecroft School and NC State University. He is currently employed by Harvey’s Fertilizer & Gas Company in Kinston, N.C. where he manages the Agri+Plus product line. The wedding will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, N.C.
