Edward Bunyan Spencer

“God is glorified and people are blessed” in the earthly and now Heavenly life of Edward Bunyan Spencer, 86, a husband, father, preacher, teacher, and friend.

Mr. Ed went to see His Lord Jesus Christ face to face on Monday, May 20, 2013.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 10 am at University Church of Christ, Greenville.

He was raised in Bradford County, PA, one of seven children born to the late Myles VanFleet & Madeline Doris Bunyan Spencer.  Mr. Ed worked hard with his hands and mind all of his 86 years.  He did it all and did it well.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Tom, Bob and Hank Spencer and a sister, Sharon Spencer.

Mr. Ed is survived by his faithful, loving sweetheart of 64 years, Beverly Jane Draper; son, Dirck Spencer; daughter, Kim Winstead and husband, Charles, all of Winterville, NC; granddaughter, Amber R. Winstead of Greenville, NC; grandsons, USAF Lt. Col. Patrick C. Winstead & family of Hickam AFB, HI and Dr. Johnathan M. Winstead & family of Johnson City, TN; brothers, Jake Spencer of Monroeton, PA and Joe Spencer of Webster, NY; sisters-in-laws, Evie Spencer of Honey Brook, PA, Lynn Spencer of Spencerport, NY, and Donna Spencer of Hamlin, NY; and many nephews & nieces all over the USA.

The family will receive friends following the service.
