PETS OF THE WEEK_WEBCassidy and Dane
Ready to join in the Memorial Day festivities are brother and sister, Cassidy and Dane. They are black Labrador Retriever – mix puppies and at two months old, they are furry balls of fun. They are descendants of a fine breed and they are showing intelligence, friendliness, and trainability, typical of Labs. Ever alert, they love people and especially children. Given a good home with affection, attention and a yard to romp and play, Cassidy and Dane will shower you with their unconditional love and faithfulness.

Suesy and Molly
All decked out in red, white and blue for Memorial Day are sister kittens. Molly, a grey Tabby, wears the darker grey “M,” typical of the tabby, on her forehead. She’s a talker and purrs the minute you look at her. Suesy is all white, except for a watercolor brush stroke of gray on the top of her head. These two are the sweetest, laid back, friendly, loveable and playful 4-month-old kittens you will want to meet. Both are waiting to be adopted and will make wonderful additions to a good forever home.

The month of June is “Cat Adoption Month” at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, aka The Shelter. Cats and kittens at the shelter will have an adoption fee of $25. This fee includes spaying/neutering, the first round of shots, a microchip and worming, for each feline adopted. This is a reduced fee with the remainder paid by the Humane Society of Beaufort County. Many quality cats and kittens need good forever homes. Hurry! Don’t delay! This offer is in effect June 1st through June 29th. Questions, please call 252–946-1591.
Due to the Memorial Holiday, the Shelter will be closed on Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27. These animals are available May 28 through May 31, June 1, and June 3. Those interested in adopting should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC or call 252-946-4517 for more information.
