Mrs. Ann Marie Duke Cobb, age 65, a resident of Pinetops, NC died Monday June 10, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday June 15, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington officiated by Rev. Jay Buckingham.
Mrs. Cobb was born in Beaufort County on July 22, 1947, daughter of the late William Benjamin Duke and the late Edna Mae Grantham Duke. She was a graduate of Washington High School and continued her education at East Carolina University where she earned her BS Degree in education and certification in Library Science. On March 22, 1969 she married Willis Edwin “Bill” Cobb, III, who survives. Mrs. Cobb was an educator at Rocky Mount Academy and a member of Pinetops Presbyterian Church.
Surviving along with her husband Bill of the home are two sons: Willis Edwin “Eddie” Cobb, IV, of Raleigh and William Benjamin “Ben” Cobb and wife Karen of Greenville: a grandson: Cameron Elijah Cobb of Greenville and a brother: Joseph Benjamin “Skipper” Duke of Greenville.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday June 15, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
