Mrs. Linda Davis Johnson, age 66, a resident of Washington, NC, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice of Greenville, NC.

Funeral services will be private.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Hyde County on June 16, 1947 to the late Jasper R. Davis and Edna Cuthrell Davis. On December 21, 1974, she married Dr. Donald Carl Johnson, who survives. Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of the East Carolina University School of Nursing.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Johnson is survived by two brothers: Bobby Davis and wife Shirley of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Jack Davis and wife Jimmie of Rockledge, Fla., three sisters: Joan D. Russ and husband Wayne of Bath, NC, Dorothy D. DePorter and husband Bob of Louisville, KY and Nancy D. Christian and husband Bill of Lumberton, NC, three stepchildren: Dr. Michael D. Johnson and wife Debbie of Goldsboro, NC, Marilyn J. Daw and husband Ronnie of Washington, NC and Sandra J. Asby and husband Harley of Washington, NC, eight step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by a sister: Geneva Mason.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
