Mr. Marvin “Ray” Whitehurst, 77, a resident of Maple Lane, Washington, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, Washington, which is in charge of arrangements.
