Mr. Michael Raymond Wells, age 52, a resident of Vanceboro, died Wednesday July 23, 2013.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens of Washington.

Mr. Wells was born in Beaufort County on April 2, 1961, to James Thomas Wells and the late Gloria Sue Foster Wells.

Survivors include his father, James Thomas Wells of Vanceboro; two brothers, Charles E. Wells and wife Julia of Raleigh, Andy Wells of Raleigh; sister, Deborah K. Munday and husband David of Louisiana; aunts and uncles, Carol Humphrey and husband Buster of Greenville, Joan Pope of Wilmington and Vance T. Wells and wife Virginia of Anderson, South Carolina, Bobby Andrews of Washington, Hubert Potter of Washington.
