Tommy Stanley

Tommy Stanley, age 55, a resident of NC Hwy 32 North, Washington, NC passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home. There will be a celebration of his life Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service officiated by Clint Wilson. Ira Leroy Smith, Gregory Scott Brown, Jimmy Issac Stanley, Anthony Stanley, Tommy Barber and Albert Stanley will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Beaver Hill Cemetery in Edenton.

Tommy was born October 18, 1957 in Scotland Neck son of the late Belcher and May Agnes Small Stanley. He was a self-employed construction worker.

He is survived by his daughters, Wendy Stanley Hartin of Edenton, NC, Ginger Stanley of Kentucky, and Lisa Stanley of Winston-Salem, NC; his brother and sister, Elvis Stanley and Marie Stanley both of Washington of Washington, NC; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews, May Agnes Phelps, Brittany Stanley, Albert Stanley, Anthony Stanley, Isaac Stanley and Tommy Smith; six great nieces and six great nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Emma Stanley; his brother Albert Stanley and his nephew, Belcher Stanley Phelps.
