Mr. Bryan Lee Barnes, age 21, a resident of 3534 V.O.A. Road, Washington, died Wednesday August 14, 2013.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 18, 2013 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Pastor Jerry Waters. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.

The following will serve as pallbearers:  Jonathan Barnes, Michael Barnes, Matthew Barnes, Trey Evans, Keith Rakowski, Josh Toler, and Shakeim Blakeney. 

Bryan was born in Washington on November 24, 1991. He was the son of David Scott Barnes and Melissa Boyette Gamble. Bryan worked in construction.  He loved the outdoors. Bryan loved the beach, fishing, hunting, skateboarding, and riding four wheelers.

Bryan is survived by his father, David “Scott” Barnes of Washington; his mother, Melissa “Missy” Boyette Gamble and her husband, Mark of Blounts Creek; three brothers, Jonathan Scott Barnes and his wife, Jessica, Michael Alan Barnes, Matthew Joel Barnes all of Washington; one nephew, Aiden Scott Barnes of Washington;  paternal grandparents, Clifton and Alma Barnes of Washington; maternal grandparents, George and Gayle Jones of Washington; and maternal great grandmother, Betty Mizelle of Washington.

Bryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Boyette.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
