Mrs. Jane G. Creech, 85, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 surrounded by her family.

 

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Creech officiating. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.

 

A native of Harnett County, Mrs. Creech was a homemaker. She was a former member of Meadowbrook Presbyterian Church and was a current member of Hollywood Presbyterian church. She had made her home in Kinston for the past 5 years and attended Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Creech was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George M. “Bill” Creech.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda C. Jenkins and her husband, Bill, of Kinston; sons, Kelvin Creech and his wife, Linda, of Greenville and the Rev. Steve Creech and his wife, Janet, of Plymouth; granddaughters, Bethany Davis and her husband, Gaston, of Kinston, Becky Anderson and Amanda Creech both of Greenville, Jessica Holliday and husband, Matt, of Jamesville and Jennifer Brinson of Knoxville, TN; great-granddaughters, Brayley Davis and Jalynn Holliday; brother, Andy Grimes and his wife, Vickie, of Elizabethtown, KY; brother-in-law, J.C. Creech and his wife, Nan, of Greenville; and a dear friend of 50 some years, Mary Lou Heath of Greenville.

 

The family would like to thank Intellichoice Home Care and Vidant Hospice for the excellent care they provided for their mom during the last 3 months of her life.

 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
