Receiving the award for First Bank are Bridget Jefferson (center), branch manager of First Bank in Washington, and William Taylor lll, area executive, senior vice president. The Gold Shoe is an annual award for a team or individual who works hard to make the Alzheimer’s Walk and Education Fair a success. The Oct. 12 event raised more than $22, 000 for family support, community education, emergency respite, public awareness and research for the prevention, cure and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
