The Gold Shoe is an annual award for a team or individual who works hard to make the Alzheimer’s Walk and Education Fair a success. The Oct. 12 event raised more than $22, 000 for family support, community education, emergency respite, public awareness and research for the prevention, cure and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
