Mrs. Pamela Dawn Sullivan Stokes, 48, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2013 following a short fight with pancreatic cancer.
The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Grace Church.  Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens at Washington, NC.
Pam was employed with attorney R. Bailey Melvin and his wife, Cammie G. Melvin for the past 20 years.  Her close friend and confidante, Stephanie H. Lilley, was her co-employee for 20 years.
Pam enjoyed reading, playing board games, spending time with family and friends, and being at their home at Lake Gaston.
Pam is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles McRae “Mac” Stokes, Jr.; their 21-year-old son, Charles McRae “Charlie” Stokes, III and their 15-year-old daughter, Linden Allie Briggs Stokes, all of Greenville.  Also surviving are her wonderful parents, George E. and Linda T. Sullivan of Washington, NC; a sister, Karen S. Sullivan; brother-in-law, Lawrence A. T. Schock; nephew Aaron Matthew Schock; and niece, Hannah Elizabeth Schock all of New Jersey; her parents-in-law, Charles M. and JoAnn B. Stokes; sister-in-law, Sharon S. Wilson; brother-in-law, Jeffrey A. Wilson, niece, Callie Nicole Wilson and nephew, Grant Allen Wilson all of Greenville, NC.
Many adored uncles, aunts and cousins also survive Pam as well as many close friends she considered as her family which includes her bestest friend of 28 years, Lelia M. McConnell of Wake Forest, NC and her dear friend and security blanket, Vickie P. Teachey of Greenville.  Lastly, Pam is survived by her beloved dog, Rudie Cooper.
The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
