Donna Lou Wheatley Barrett, 72, passed away Oct. 28, 2013 at her home in Key West, FL with loving family and friend by her side. At her request, no service will be held.  Born on March 19, 1941 in Vancouver, WA, she is predeceased by her parents, Marjorie B. Lacy and Jesse J. Wheatley, as well as her brother, Lloyd Wheatley and her son, Daniel Windbigler. On Sept. 25, 1965 she married the love of her life, Paul H. Barrett. They lived in many different places throughout their glorious 48 years of marriage and for many years Donna managed their quarter horse ranch in Aurora, NC. She also had a love of the water, boating and fishing. She and her husband, Paul, recently completed a 3 month cruise on their boat visiting many of the islands of the Bahamas.  Shortly after their return she competed in the Drambuie Marlin Tournament this past July. Donna was loved by many for her zest for life, high moral and ethical standards, and pure feistiness. Donna is survived by loving husband, Paul; her daughters, Paulette Barrett and Dena Canterbury; grandson, Michael Farrow and brother Wesley Wheatley.
