Constance “Connie” Baynor

Ms. Constance Faye “Connie” Baynor, age 66, a resident of 23075 NC Hwy. 32, North, Plymouth, NC died Tuesday November 19, 2013 at Vidant Pungo Hospital in Belhaven.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday November 21, 2013 at Long Acre Chapel Christian Church officiated by Rupert Wallace and Thelbert Leggett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be Brice Williams, Jr., Trey Baynor, John Baynor, Doug Bissette, Riley Williams and Carr Baynor.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home of Connie’s mother, Helen Baynor located at 23075 NC Hwy. 32 North, Plymouth, NC.

Connie was born in Beaufort County on February 22, 1947 daughter of the late Earl Jackson Baynor, Sr. and Helen Cox Baynor who survives.  She was a 1965 graduate of Pantego High School and continued her education at W.W. Holding Technical Institute where she received her associate’s degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Connie served her country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Following her military career she continued to work in the medical field as a lab technician. She was a member of Long Acre Chapel Christian Church. During high school Connie was an athlete playing basketball. Following high school she played softball on several travel teams.

Surviving along with Connie’s mother Helen Baynor of the home is a sister: Susan B. Williams and her husband Brice of Long Acre; brothers: Earl J. Baynor, Jr. and his wife Jacque of Long Acre and John Baynor and his wife Tammy of Selma, NC; nephews and nieces, whom she considered as her children: Brice Williams, Jr. and his wife Abby of Greenville and Trey Baynor and his wife Jessica of Long Acre, Kimberly W. Bissette and her husband Doug of Long Acre and Brittney Baynor of Belhaven and two great nephews: Riley and Tanner Williams of Greenville.
