Mark your calendar for Saturday, Dec. 7 to enjoy one of Washington’s most anticipated winter events. More than just an open house, the annual Christmas Tour of Homes takes you inside some of Historic Washington’s loveliest homes, aglow in holiday splendor.

This self-guided tour affords tour-goers an inside look at the wide range of neighborhood character found in Washington, from charming antebellum homes and grand manors in the Historic Downtown, to contemporary additions to Washington’s lovely and scenic waterfront neighborhoods. The Christmas Home Tour celebrates the diverse and stunning architecture of the many beautiful, uniquely Washington homes. Each home on the tour adds to the charm of the neighborhood as it reflects the eclectic lifestyle of Beaufort County.

The tour will take place beginning at 10 a.m. and last until 5 p.m.  Guests can visit the homes at their leisure during this time. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event.  Guests will be able show their ticket to take advantage of a variety of lunch specials and discounts at participating local restaurants and shops. The ticket purchase will also enter the guests’ names in a drawing for a beautiful basket full of goodies.

The Beaufort County Arts Council is the presenter and beneficiary of the 2013 tour.  BCAC hopes that the public will usher in the beginning of the holiday season with this unique opportunity for a firsthand look into Washington’s homes, decked out and sparkling with holiday warmth and charm, while also supporting the arts council.
