Ann Woolard

Ann Respass Woolard, age 69, a resident of 2186 Terrapin Track Road, Washington, NC died Sunday December 1, 2013 at her home.

 

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday December 5, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor Phillip Jethro. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tony Winstead, Wayland Alligood, Cecil Alligood, Taylor Woolard, Allen Woolard and Ricky Eaton. Richard Woolard, Kenny Alligood, Tommy Douglas and Rusty Elks will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday December 4, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

 

Mrs. Woolard was born in Plymouth on November 1, 1944 daughter of the late Newsome Henry Respass and the late Cottie Estelle Phelps. She was a 1961 graduate of Plymouth High School and attended Beaufort Technical Institute. On September 27, 1964 she married Donald Ray Woolard who survives. Mrs. Woolard worked as manager of the ladies department of Buckman’s & Scott’s and was head cashier in Foodland corporate offices. She was a member of Alligood Church of God.

 

Surviving along with Mrs. Woolard’s husband Donald Ray of the home is a daughter: Lisa W. Margeson and husband Mike of Maryville, TN; a son: Troy Allen Woolard, Sr. and wife Julie of Washington; two sisters: Jean R. Eaton of Washington and Brenda R. Tyrell of Washington; eight grandchildren: Allen Woolard, Heather Woolard, Taylor Woolard, Macy Alligood, Cecil Alligood, Rhys Margeson, Macey Prochilo and Ashley Margeson.  Mrs. Woolard was predeceased by a son: Michael Todd Woolard and a brother: Bobby “Cho Cho” Respass.
