Mrs. Hattie Elizabeth Moore Peed, 106, a resident of River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Washington, and formerly of Chocowinity, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at St. James CME Church, Chocowinity. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the funeral. The family is receiving friends at the home of Jimmy and Lucy Harper, 1556 N.C. Highway 33 East, Chocowinity. Arrangements are by Whitfield & Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
