Unity Christian Academy’s first-ever cross-country team took the field this year and all three members were awarded medals during the season.

Coached by Laurie Dixon, the cross-country team trained over the summer. Blazing sun and pouring rain didn’t stop these students from training and competing.

The team, made up of Holden Dixon, Eli Maxey and Grace Rose, competed in five events this season.

“They all achieved personal best records by the end of the season, beating their best time in a 5K – 3.2 miles,” Dixon said.

This was a wonderful first season for the UCA Warriors Cross-Country team and the school looks forward to preparing a Track-and-Field team for the spring.

Cross-country takes dedication and endurance. The team worked hard, gave it their all and did their very best until the very end of every race.
