Albert Sidney Small Sr.

Mr. Albert Sidney Small Sr., 95, of 4295 N.C. Highway 32 North, died Dec. 24, 2013, at Roanoke Landing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Plymouth.

Funeral services will 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Second Zion Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Hubert Judon, officiating. Burial will follow in Second Zion Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Small was born Jan. 12, 1918, in Bertie County. He was the son of the late Sidney Small and Clara Lewis Bond Small. He was a member of Second Zion Grove Baptist Church where he was a trustee and usher.

Surviving him are sons: Albert S. Small Jr., of Newark, N.J., Clarence Edward Small, of  Greensboro; daughters: Annie N. Davenport, of Plymouth, Barbara V. Small of Plymouth, Sarah Swinney, of Hartsfield, S.C., Geraldine T. Mason, of Williamston; a brother, Charlie Sharpe, of Roper; sisters, Paris Jacobs, of Plymouth, Castolee Small, of Plymouth, and Lavender Murray, of Newport News, Va.
