Betty Sue Maneval

Betty Sue Maneval, age 85, a resident of 100 Hickory St., Greenville, NC and formerly of Chocowinity, NC passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. There will be a celebration of her life Saturday, January 4 at 11:00 AM at Cypress Glen Multipurpose Room, 100 Hickory St., Greenville, NC officiated by Rev. Karen Crutchfield, chaplain. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Hillside Funeral Service.
Betty was born May 9, 1928 in McAlester, OK daughter of the late Fred and Eunice Hogan Henry. Betty graduated from Southeast Oklahoma College with an Education Bachelors and Oklahoma State University with a Masters Degree in Education. On May 26, 1951 she married Max Vernon Maneval who preceded her in death on January 9, 2010. Betty was a member of Chocowinity United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher.
Betty provided abundant love, patience, and caring as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness to family, friends, and neighbors will long be remembered and cherished.
Betty is survived by her sons, Lee Charles Maneval and wife Jill of Mineral Bluff, GA and Don Vernon Maneval and wife Jackie of Chocowinity, NC; her grandchildren, Joseph Maneval and Sarah Maneval-Laymen of Mineral Bluff, GA; and her great grandchildren, Lola and Madison Maneval of Mineral Bluff, GA.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Henry, Jr..
