Robert Allen Gambill Sr., 67, passed away
Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
He was born on August 2, 1946 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late James and Margaret Gambill. He was a graduate of Arkansas State University with his BS
in Engineering. Mr. Gambill retired as an engineer from Hamilton- Beach and Proctor-Silex. He retired to Isle Vue Beach, North Carolina, where he had many friends and enjoyed carpentry as well as fishing and working on his garden. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his children, Robert A. Gambill Jr. (Ryllis) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Kirsten Province of Jonesboro, Jacob Gambill (Katherine) of Jonesboro, Amanda Tynall (Scott) of Greenville, NC, Carrie Moyers (Brian) of Hernando, Mississippi, Christina Baldwin of Arlington, Tennessee and Emily Holbrook of Greenville; a sister, Cheryl Perry (Charlie) of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren and many friends at Isle Vue Beach.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Rev. Chris
Hemund officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Charlie Harris, Carson Harris, Charlie Perry, Tim Penley, Trey Gambill and Blaine Province.
