Ann Tingle Tetterton

Ms. Ann Tingle Tetterton, age 73, a resident of 3587 Hwy. 264 East, Washington, died Monday January 20, 2014 at the home of her daughter.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday January 23, 2014 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington officiated by Rev. Henry Horne.  Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.  Simon Wright, Ottis Cox, John Wade, Mike Kosto, David Paul and Trae Coburn will serve as pallbearers.  Carl Jones, Larry Jones,  Alta Jones, Lorraine Mason and Virginia Cox will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Ms. Tetterton was born in Beaufort County on May 21, 1940, daughter of the late Richard Thomas Tingle and Pearl Midgette Tingle.  She was a graduate of Bath High School and worked in the testing department at Flanders Filters.  She was a member of Women of the Moose and Senior Citizens Groups.

Ms. Tetterton is survived by her children:  Kathy T. Kosto and husband Tom of Greenville, Leslie L. Tetterton and wife Patricia of Chocowinity and Gary S. Tetterton and wife Karol of Chocowinity; her grandchildren:  Brandon Kosto, Steven Kosto and Lesley Tetterton; her sister: Ema T. Paul of Garden City, SC; her longtime friend since 2nd grade, Virginia Cox of Washington; several nieces and nephews and the love of her life, Donald Jones of the home.   In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Winfield Tingle, Talmadge Tingle, Loren Tingle and Richard Tingle and her sister: Peggy Nordstorm.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Virginia Cox.
