Edith Virginia MacKendrick passed on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. She was 93 and since Thanksgiving had been under the loving care of the people at Ridgewood Manor. She was born in Pawtucket, RI, and was married to Harlan MacKendrick for 71 years. For many years Edith was church secretary at First Presbyterian Church in Washington. Harlan and Edith were active with the MOMS and POPS and had gone on several trips with the Friendship Force. Edith had a full and rich life and only at the very last did Alzheimer’s take its toll. Her body has been donated to ECU Medical. She will be missed for her warm and gracious heart by her husband and children Bob MacKendrick, Linda Brown and Bob’s wife Carol.

There will be a Memorial Service at First Christian Church on 401 East 2^nd Street on Saturday, February 1^st and 10:30 a.m.
