RETHA JOHNSON | CONTRIBUTED OFFICIAL SIGNATURE: Russell Davenport was the first to file for the office of Beaufort County sheriff Monday at noon at the Beaufort County Board of Elections office. Over 35 supporters joined Davenport at the Board of Elections as he signed the paperwork.
