Call for On the Wall entries

GREENVILLE — On Feb. 28 and March 1, the Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge will be accepting entries for its On the Wall Exhibition. Entries will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 1 at their facility located at 404 South Evans St. in Uptown Greenville.

This exhibition is nationally juried and open to all artists working in any subject matter. The only requirement is that it must hang on a wall. The cost to enter is $15 for up to 3 entries and $5 for each additional entry up to 5. There are three cash awards available to be determined by the number of entries. On the Wall will be juried by ECU graduate Brandon Cordrey this year. He is a studio artist working mainly in mixed media and collage in Raleigh. He also manages Flanders Gallery, is the administrative and programming assistant for Arts Access Inc. and teaches painting and drawing at Pullen Arts Center.

The Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Pitt County by promoting artists and arts organizations, educating through the arts and making the arts accessible to the entire community. Promoting artists and arts organizations means providing opportunities to learn the skills needed to develop better business practices. Though these workshops are free, participants must register.
