Thomas Duncan Cowand, 80, of 2204 U.S. Highway 17 North, Windsor, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Vidant Bertie Memorial Hospital. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Merry Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Nixon officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15^, 2014, at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, which is in charge of arrangements.
