Diana Foster Potter

March 26, 1950 – Feb. 16, 2014

Mrs. Diana Foster Potter, age 63, a resident of 457 Rowe Lane, Blounts Creek, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Ryder Hill Cemetery officiated by Dean Fulford Jr.

Mrs. Potter was born on March 26, 1950, daughter of the late Bert Lee Foster and Minnie Irene Sawyer Foster. She was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School.    She worked in her parent’s store and dance hall. Mrs. Potter enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching the weather channel and listening to country music.  She was married to Edward Durwood Potter Sr. who preceded her in death on Nov. 19, 2004.

Mrs. Potter is survived by her son: Edward D. “Eddie” Potter Jr. and wife Heather of Blounts Creek; her daughter, Lesa Potter Guthrie of Washington; her grandchildren,  Diana Irene Guthrie, Cody Edward Guthrie, Christopher Nicholas Guthrie, Hunter Scott Potter and Christine Marie Potter; her brother, Windell Thomas Foster of Pamlico Beach; and her sister, Julia Hopkins of Pamlico Beach. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sister: Ada Lee Foster Talley.
