Mrs. Frances Carol Boyd, 70 years of age, a resident of 3099 Respess Road, Pinetown, N.C., went on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Paul Boyd, as well as her children, Jason O. Boyd, Jeanne Boyd Harris and Melissa Boyd; a daughter-in-law, Angela Burris Boyd and son-in-law, Alton Ray Harris, Jr.  Carol loved dearly and will miss her two grand babies, Darren and Brandon Harris.

She was also the daughter of the late Teamus and Mildred Boyd of Pinetown and sister of Grace Satterthwaite, married to Bruce Satterthwaite, of Pinetops and the late David Boyd of Engelhard.  She was a 1962 graduate of Bath High School.

The family of Carol would like to express its deepest gratitude to the many Pinetown and Bunyan Rescue and EMS workers who always responded quickly and took such great care of her in her hour of need. They would also like to thank Donna Grady, her at home nurse, for the tender care and kindness she always showed to Carol. On more than one occasion she has gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide for Carol, tending to her and keeping her comfortable. Your heart for care giving was deeply appreciated.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at her home church of Five Points Free Will Baptist Church at 7:00 p.m., with a viewing on the same day beginning at 5:00 p.m. till 6:30 p.m..  Pastor David Young will officiate the services.  Pallbearers will be Adrian Boyd, Larry Boyd, Neal Boyd, Wade Biggs, Mark Bowen and Tomas Ramirez.  She will be buried at Pamlico Memorial Gardens the following day, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.

The family will receive guests at the church at the time of the viewing and other times at the family home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Five Points Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Paul Boyd, Treasurer, 3099 Respess Road, Pinetown, N.C.  27865.

Carol was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed.  If you were privileged to know Carol, you were truly blessed.  We have no doubt that after she took her last breath, she was then being welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We will miss everything about her.
