Guy Roosevelt Davis, age 92, a resident of NC Hwy 32 N, Plymouth, NC, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home. There will be a celebration of his life at 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 13 at Long Acre Chapel Christian Church, officiated by Rupert Wallace. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home.

Mr. Davis was born November 11, 1921 in Beaufort County son of the late Ernest W. Davis and the former Carrie Cutthrell. He served his country in the US Army and was a retired  farmer. He was married to Marie Landman Davis who preceded him in death, November 17, 2011. Mr. Davis loved his church and loved that he was able to serve his country.

Mr. Davis is survived by his son, Harold Davis and wife Patsy of Washington; his granddaughter, Amy Davis of Plymouth; and his great grandchildren, Teia Taffer of Williamston and Hunter Taffer of Plymouth.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Long Acre Chapel Christian Church, 24597 NC Hwy 32 N, Plymouth, NC 27962.
