Mr. James Paul Allen, age 72, a resident of Pantego, NC died Saturday March 8, 2014 at his home.

A graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday March 12, 2014 at Davis Cemetery officiated by Dennis Davis.

The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home of his niece, Marlene Woolard, located at 5800 NC Hwy. 99 North, Pantego, NC.

Mr. Allen was born in Beaufort County on May 24, 1941 son of the late Fred C. Allen and the late Martha Neal Allen. He was a 1960 graduate of Pantego High School.  Mr. Allen was a farmer and enjoyed seeing blessings of his work at harvest time.

Mr. Allen is survived by his nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Harold C. Allen and Elwood Allen and a sister, Hazel Allen Woolard.
