Beulah Mae Woolard Harris Woolard, age 89, a resident of Broad Creek Road, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at her home. There will be a celebration of her life at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 27, in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Tony Krantz. Special music will be provided by Gail Toler, Anne Davenport and Tony Krantz. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. John Maloney Jr., Keith Sharpe, Tim Woolard, Frankie Waters, Jerry Waters and Anthony Singleton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington, and other times at the home.

Beulah Mae was born March 13, 1925, in Beaufort County, daughter of the late Will Frank Woolard and Lelia Grey Cutler Woolard. On May 4, 1946, she married Harvey H. Harris, who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2000. She later married Harold Edmond Woolard who preceded her in death on April 11, 2013. Beulah was a sales clerk at Marguerite’s Dress Shop.

Beulah Mae is survived by her sons, Harvey Lane Harris and wife Terry, of Pinehurst; and Ronnie Frank Harris and wife Connie, of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Leroy “Jennie” Waters, and Mrs. Lyda W. Maloney, both of Washington; and “Sue” Sharpe and husband Noble of Memphis, Tenn.; her brother, Hilton Woolard and wife Johnnie, of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren, Lane Harris Jr., Nicholas Harris, Jon Ross Harris, Ashley Harris and Reid Harris; her great-grandchildren, Lawson Goltra and Landon Harris; her stepchildren, Marty Woolard Gurganus and husband Pete; Hal Woolard and wife Garleen; and Cheryl Brantley and husband Shady; and her step-grandchildren, Sara Woolard and Lauren James and husband Nate; Monica Keefe and husband Glen; and Ray Scott and wife Tonya; her step-great-grandchildren, Brook and Emily Keefe and Andrew Jacob, and Anna Lavee Scott; and friends, Latham Waters and Derik Lewis.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Will Woolard, Joseph Woolard and Cornelius Woolard.
