WASHINGTON NOON ROTARY | CONTRIBUTED ROTARY FUN: “Carnac the Magnificent” (played by Spencer Stanley - Washington Noon Rotary president) made a guest appearance at a recent WNR meeting. For anyone not old enough to have personally had the late night experience, “The Great Carnac” was a 'Swami' routine done by Johnny Carson, the greatest late night TV host ever. Johnny’s side kick Ed McMahon (played by Bo Brooks), would foretell the answer to a question contained in “a sealed envelop pulled from a mayonnaise jar.” Johnny would hold the envelop next to his swami headdress, meditate and then, without opening it, tell the funny question contained in the envelop. It was hilarious! Google “Carnac the Magnificent” and see for yourself. Washington Noon Rotary invites anyone interested in finding out about how you may join us to experience the fun, camaraderie and personal satisfaction of being involved in Rotary and your community, to please check out our website at www.WashingtonNoonRotary.org, and/or call our President, Spencer Stanley, at 252-940-8769 or email him at spencer.stanley56@yahoo.com. We meet every Monday at noon at King Chicken for a delicious southern meal, conduct the business of the club and to hear interesting speakers from throughout the area. We’d welcome the opportunity for you to be our guest. We’re considering starting a morning club too. Let us know if that interests you.
