BIG WIN: Congratulations to Briasia Somerville, the 2014 Knights Of Columbus 10-year-old Girls Free Throw North Carolina State Champion. Briasia won the local Council competition in Washington by making 7 out of 15 free throws and advanced to the district competition level in New Bern. She won the district competition by making 21 out of 25 free throws, therefore earning a spot in the state championship in Burlington. Briasia then won the state championship by making an amazing 24 out of 25 free throws, which was the highest of the day in any age group. Her overall total in all levels was an amazing 52 free throws made out of a possible 65 shots. Briasia is the daughter of Sabrina Somerville and Michael Latham. Great job and congratulations, Briasia!
