Mrs. Mattie Virginia Howell-McCray, 102, of 391 Jones White Road, Roper, died April 1, 2014 at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton. The family will receive friends and other relatives at her home as well as 15690 NC Highway 94, North Roper. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Services in Roper.
