Steven W. Tyson

October 2, 1959 – March 30, 2014

 

Mr. Steven Wayne “Steve” Tyson, age 54, a resident of Washington died Sunday March 30, 2014 at the home of his sister in Greenville, NC.

A memorial service will be held 7 PM Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Memorial Free Will Baptist Church of Chocowinity officiated by Rev. Owen Arthur.

Steve was born in Geary County, KS on October 2, 1959, son of John Russell Tyson and Janice Boyd Tyson.  He was a graduate of Washington High School and studied welding at Beaufort County Community College.  Steve was a member of Covenant Community Church of Washington.

In additional to his parents, Steve is survived by his sisters: Deborah Donnelly and husband Mike of Granville County and Robin Suggs and husband Joseph of Greenville; his grandmother: Pearl Respess Boyd and his niece: Sara Jackson of Chocowinity.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 until the funeral hour at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Ascera Care Hospice, 112 West Firetower Road, Winterville, NC 28590.
