CELEBRATION: Survivors participating in the Beaufort County Relay for Life Survivor Sundae social ranged from 4 to 88 in age. Some have been fighting the battle for only a few months and one has been cancer-free for over 40 years. As the survivors placed their “survivor” birthday candle on a symbolic celebration birthday cake, they stated their name, a word of inspiration they had written on their candles and the number of years they have been cancer free.
