Mr. Johnny Ray Wainwright, Jr., age 56, a resident of 1150 Sparrows Bay, Blounts Creek died Monday evening May 12, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday May 18, 2014 at Warren Memorial Cemetery officiated by Pastor Joel Cannon.

Lloyd Tippett, Joshua Tippett,  Ronnie Bryson, Chris Fleming, Shane Leary, Johnny Baker and will serve as pallbearers.  Daniel Tippett and Connor Leary will serve as junior pallbearers.

Mr. Wainwright was born in Newport News, VA on June 6, 1957, son of Nancy Carol Blakley Wainwright and the late Johnny Ray Wainwright, Sr. He was a graduate of Menchville High School in Newport News, VA.   He was a long distance truck driver  for various companies.

In addition to his mother, Nancy of Blounts Creek, he is survived by his sister, Teresa K. Wainwright of Blounts Creek and her pets, Jack and Mercy, that Johnny considered his niece and nephew.

The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.
