Elsie Rae Clark
Jan. 1, 1932 – June 11, 2014

Mrs. Elsie Rae Clark, age 82 a resident of 115 Mable St., Dover and a former resident of Chocowinity, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport.

Memorial services will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the Dover United Methodist Church and will be conducted by Rev. Clint White. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm in the Edwards Cemetery on Possum Track Rd. in Chocowinity.

Mrs. Clark was born in Beaufort County on January 1, 1932 to the late Raleigh and Lucy Clark Harding. She was raised by her late grandparents, Fred and Lona Clark. On November 6, 1963 she married Hoyt S. Clark who preceded her in death on September 16, 2004. She was a homemaker and also owned and operated Clarks grocery in Chocowinity with her husband Hoyt. She was a member of Dover United Methodist Church and formerly attended Smyrna Free Will Baptist Church in Blounts Creek.

Survivors include three sisters, Cora Lee White and husband Dalton of Dover, Lena Gray Ham and husband Robert of Grifton and Norena White of Coma and a very special uncle, Fred Clark of Norfolk, Virginia.
