Oscar Joseph Christopherson

Oscar Joseph Christopherson, age 68, a resident of Washington, NC, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. A private celebration of his life will be held in Raleigh, NC, at a later date.

Oscar was born February 25, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN, son of the late Oscar and Dortha Betts Christopherson. He served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam and was a retired engineer from PCS Phosphate.

Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gail Josephson Christopherson; his sons, Adam and Toby Christopherson; his daughter, Cari Christopherson Kaylor; his grandchildren, Mia, Virginia, Max and Juliet; his sisters, Dortha Trench, Barbara Carlson and Karen Coleman; his mother-in-law, Betty Josephson; his brother-in-law, Bill Josephson; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Oscar’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
