Mitsuko Yogi, 85, of Washington NC, died June 20, 2014. Born January 7, 1929 in Miyako, Japan. Mitsuko “Oba” Yogi passed peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side at Vidant Medical Center on Friday evening. She is preceded in death by her son Danny Arthur Bell and daughter-in-law Patricia Renee Bell. She is survived by her children Charles William Bell III, Christopher Lawrence Bell, Christine Bell McLawhorn, son-in-law Danny Thomas McLawhorn, and daughter-in-law Terri Hibbitts Bell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, adopted family Jim and Sheila Kleckley, JT Asby, and Ronald and Brenda Godley, and many other deeply cherished friends. Oba worked as a seamstress and loved to sew. Her greatest passion in life was her family and friends. Oba will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family would like to extend their gratitude to her dialysis nurse Tina and the remaining staff. Private services were held June 23.
