CHRISTOPHER BLEAKLEY AGNEW

Christopher Bleakley Agnew, 61, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at his home. Chris was born Aug. 24, 1953, in Liberty, Mo., the son of the late David T. and Alice Collis Agnew.
After high school graduation, he served in the United States Navy for two years. Chris then attended Fort Hays State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business. He was a member of AA and celebrated his sobriety for 30 years. Chris attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Chocowinity, N.C.
Survivors include his siblings, Tom Agnew, of Vancouver, Wa., Virgil Agnew, of Corvallis, Ore., Josephine Agnew-Tally, of Kansas City, Mo., Beth Agnew, of Bloomington, Ind., and Mary Agnew, of Marietta, Ga.; five nieces; six nephews; two great-nieces; and three great-nephews.
