LOUISE MOORE JERNIGAN

March 2, 1921 – Sept. 2, 2014

 

Mrs. Louise Moore Jernigan, age 93, a resident of Raleigh, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her home.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 5, 2014 at Trinity Cemetery in Chocowinity, conducted by Pastor Al Watkins.

Mrs. Jernigan was born in Beaufort County on March 2, 1921.  She was the daughter of the late Daniel Oscar Moore and Mattie Jones Moore.  Mrs. Jernigan graduated from Chocowinity High School.  She was a switchboard operator at Rex Hospital in Raleigh for 36 years, retiring in 1996.

Mrs. Jernigan is survived by two daughters, Sheila Ellis of Raleigh, Sharron Ball and her husband, Roger of Raleigh and one grandson, Michael Ball of Raleigh.
